Heilsa

From what is at home to what is for dinner.

Heilsa keeps one pantry your whole household can see, shows which dinners it already covers, and turns the gaps into a shopping list that comes back again as pantry.

The problem is not a shortage of recipes.

It is that nobody in the house knows what is actually in it. Someone shopped on Saturday. Someone used the last of the rice. The recipe you saved needs three things you are not sure about. Every evening the same question arrives, and answering it means rebuilding the state of your own kitchen from memory.

It is not a dramatic problem. It is a small one, repeated daily, usually when everyone is tired.

Pantry, dinner and shopping as one motion.

Each step produces what the next one needs. That is what makes keeping the pantry current worth the few minutes it costs.

  1. 1

    Capture what is home

Add pantry updates quickly, manually or with review-first AI capture.

  2. 2

    See what can be cooked

Recipe coverage starts from current household pantry state.

  3. 3

    Move gaps into shopping

Missing ingredients become shared shopping items with context attached.

  4. 4

    Bring groceries back

Bought items return to the pantry so the next dinner decision starts current.

Four tabs, and no dashboard.

The whole app is these screens. Everything else is the connection between them.

  • The Pantry tab for a household called Family Kitchen, showing 128 items across two members, grouped by storage location.

    Pantry

One pantry, grouped by where things actually live.

  • The Recipes tab: 100 recipes with 3 ready now and 16 nearly ready, each labelled with what the pantry covers.

    Recipes

Sorted by what the pantry already covers.

  • The Shopping tab: basil and gnocchi to buy, both labelled as coming from the Creamy Tomato Gnocchi recipe.

    Shopping

Every item remembers the dinner it came from.

  • The Plan tab: tonight is Chickpea and Spinach Curry, with the next few nights planned and later days still open.

    Plan

Tonight, then the next few days, then honestly empty.

Plain answers.

What is Heilsa?
A shared food workflow for households. One pantry that everyone in the home can see, recipes checked against it, and a shopping list that feeds back into it.
Is Heilsa a recipe app?
It is a recipe app with a pantry underneath it. Curated recipes plus any you add yourself, all checked against what is actually in your kitchen before you pick one.
Is this a nutrition or calorie tracker?
No. Recipes can carry nutritional context, but the core loop is household food decisions. Heilsa does not track macros and does not give dietary or medical advice.
What does it cost?
Nothing during live testing. There is no paid tier today and no card is required to take part.
