See what the household eats

The You tab adds up the plates you eat at home: food groups beside the Eatwell Guide, nutrition per plate, and the goals you chose, measured each week.

Monday on the You tab: the chickpea and spinach curry, about 482 kcal, and its food groups set beside the Eatwell Guide’s plate.

A day

A day’s plates beside the Eatwell Guide.

  • A four-week calendar of the plates you ate at home.
  • Each day plate by plate, in the UK’s front-of-pack colours, and its food groups.
  • Goals like eating more plants or building strength, measured over the last seven days.
  • Goals lean the dinner suggestions, so the plan helps.
  • Apple Health: plates written in, weight read out. Only you see these.

Counted from dinner, not typed in

There is nothing to log. When a dinner is marked cooked, the plates the people at the table ate are added up from the recipe, and the You tab shows the weeks as they went: which nights you ate at home, and what was on the plate.

Eating for something

Choose what you are eating for, such as heart health, more energy, gut health or eating more plants, and Heilsa measures it from your plates each week, with four weeks to compare. The same goals put fitting dinners higher in the suggestions.

Figures, not advice

The numbers come from USDA FoodData Central and the UK’s CoFID tables, added up from each recipe’s ingredients, and a food with no figures is left out rather than guessed. It shows what you ate. It does not diagnose, prescribe or replace a dietitian.
