HeilsaImport

When someone using Heilsa shares a recipe from your site, Heilsa reads that one page for them. This is what it reads, what it keeps, and how to say no.

What it is

HeilsaImport is how the Heilsa app reads a recipe page that someone shares or pastes into it, so they can cook from it with their household. It names itself HeilsaImport/1.0 in its user agent, with a link to this page. It fetches only when a person asks: the one page they shared, and the picture of the dish that page names.

What it does not do

It does not crawl, follow links, index pages or train models. It never fetches a page nobody shared, and it does not come back to one.

What happens to your recipe

It becomes a private draft for the person who shared it, to check and save for their household. It keeps your site’s name and a link to your page, so they can find their way back to you. The picture of the dish is kept privately for that household and never published.

How to say no

Name HeilsaImport in your robots.txt. Heilsa reads only a group that names it: a group for every agent is written for crawlers, and a person sharing a page with their household is not one.

User-agent: HeilsaImport
Disallow: /

A page your rules refuse is not read. The person is told that your site doesn’t let apps read its recipes, and can open it in their own browser instead.
