About the product
- What is Heilsa?
- A shared food workflow for households. One pantry that everyone in the home can see, recipes checked against it, and a shopping list that feeds back into it.
- Is Heilsa a recipe app?
- It is a recipe app with a pantry underneath it. Curated recipes plus any you add yourself, all checked against what is actually in your kitchen before you pick one.
- Is this a nutrition or calorie tracker?
- No. Recipes can carry nutritional context, but the core loop is household food decisions. Heilsa does not track macros and does not give dietary or medical advice.
- What does it cost?
- Nothing during live testing. There is no paid tier today and no card is required to take part.
- Which devices does it run on?
- iPhone, on iOS 17 or later. There is no Android app and no web version of the product itself.
- How do I get access?
- Register your interest and we will send a TestFlight invite. We are inviting households in small batches so we can learn properly from each one.
- Do I need someone else in my household to use it?
- It works alone, but most of the value is in the sharing. The product is built around two or more people keeping one kitchen state between them.
- How does AI fit in?
- It does the typing you would rather not: a messy list becomes structured pantry rows, and a photographed recipe becomes ingredients and steps. Everything it produces is shown as a candidate you review before it is saved. There is no chatbot.
- What happens to my household data?
- It is stored so the app can work and is shared only with the members of your household. See the privacy page for what is collected and how to have it removed.
- Can I add my own recipes?
- Yes. Write one in the app, or photograph a cookbook page or recipe card and Heilsa reads it into a structured recipe for you to check before saving. Your recipes get pantry coverage exactly like the curated ones.
Getting access
- Do I need an iPhone?
- Yes. Heilsa is iOS only at the moment and needs iOS 17 or later. There is no Android app and no web version of the product.
- Does it cost anything?
- No. Heilsa is free during live testing, and TestFlight itself is free.
- What is different about a beta build?
- Beta builds expire after 90 days, so TestFlight will prompt you to update from time to time. You may also hit rough edges, which is the point of testing.
- Can two people in one household both join?
- Yes, and it works far better that way. Once one of you has created a household, you can invite the other from inside the app.
- How do I leave the beta?
- Delete the app, or stop testing from inside TestFlight. Email support@heilsa.io if you would also like your household data removed.
